Raeje Draeka AKA 'Green fairy,' 'Green Bean', 'Jester Bard,' 'Bard Pants', or 'Rae' is known in Eorzea for her comedy songs. ((Eorzea's Bo Burnham))Born in Othard, Raeje moved to Eorzea as a refugee at a very early age, and remembers little of her Xaela tribe, but is told that poetry was a big part of their heritage.Raeje hasn't seen her parents since her early childhood when they sailed out for a negotiation mission and never returned. She was raised in a tavern in Thanalan with her uncle. This is where she learned to become a comedian.
After the loss of her home and uncle when she was seventeen, Raeje suffered from a year of grief, before doing the las thing that her uncle had requested. Raeje went in search of the 'magic'. She had no idea what magic her uncle was talking about, but ten years later, at twenty eight years old, Raeje was now travelling Eorzea as a comedy bard.She has worked in some permanent positions as an in house bard at taverns before, and even been an actor in a few theatres. Her current home is in Shirogane with the Obsidian Blades Theater troupe, although she does have her own small apartment/bar where she practices writing, performing, and drinking. This is the thing she loves most in life second only to being a bard. Her favorite drink is absinthe, and some believe she is the real green fairy.
